Our Team

Our therapists are comprised of licensed clinicians and registered associates. We primarily employ a Depth Psychology orientation that each therapist combines with their particular field of counseling interests, skills in various therapeutic modalities, and personal life experiences.

We believe that what primarily heals is the relationship and so it is important that our clients feel a connection to their therapist. When you reach out to us, we can pair you with the therapist we think may serve you best or you can directly get in touch with someone specific in our team.

Associate Marriage & Family Therapist # 144344

Hi! Call me Joe. I am passionate about working with clients that feel directionless or find that their life lacks meaning. I believe that we all have a particular call that is continually unfolding inside of us. We just need to learn to feel, listen and look for what truly resonates with us. I believe we can build a fulfilling life as we identify strengths, uncover passions, and remove blocks to our ability to be in healthy relationships. I personally strive to have strong self-understanding and I wish the same for my clients. Together, we can navigate career choices, the dating world and achieving personal goals.

My Credentials:

I hold a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate Institute. I am trained in various modalities:

• Depth Psychology: Exploring the unconscious mind for deeper insight.

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. Includes certification in Trauma-focused CBT.

• Humanistic-Existential Therapy: Focusing on personal growth and finding meaning.

• Narrative Therapy: Replacing negative narratives with positive ones.

• Family Systems Theory: Understanding family influences on behavior.

• For work with couples, I am trained in the Gottman Method and Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy.

My Interests:

I relate strongly to individuals in their late teens to early thirties, a stage of life filled with significant transitions. I also have a particular interest in working with men, who more often in today’s world are becoming subject to countless different views of how they “should be”, and “what it means to be a man.” Through my own interaction with these forces, I have come to believe that the healthiest path forward is to arrive at a deep understanding of who they are at their core, and to feel encouraged to let that understanding lead the way in engaging with the world.

I am also passionate about music and fitness. Music has been a part of my life since childhood. As a classically and jazz-trained musician, I appreciate music's healing and connecting power, and understand the pressures and self-doubt experienced by musicians and creatives. As for fitness, I have been involved in this world for over seven years and I have seen the challenges of body dysmorphia and disordered eating that often deeply affect many individuals in this group. The link between physical and mental health is profound, and I believe in cultivating both to best serve my clients.

  • Personal Growth
  • Relationships
